Niti Gupta, Of Counsel Attorney

Education

Niti Gupta graduated with honors from Claremont McKenna College with a double B.A. in Economics and Literature.  After graduation, Niti attended Santa Clara University School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 2006, with Honors in Legal Research and Writing.  In law school, Niti also participated in several Moot Court programs and helped spearhead a Juvenile Justice Program, “Fresh Lifelines for Youth”.

Practice and Expertise

Niti has a wide range of experience as a practicing Juvenile Dependency, Juvenile Delinquency, and Criminal Defense attorney and has served as an adjunct professor of law at University of La Verne, School of Law.  Niti has represented numerous parents in Juvenile Dependency proceedings in both Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties, and also writes juvenile dependency appeals as an appointed appellate attorney for the Fourth District Court of Appeals.  As a Deputy Public Defender in Sacramento County, Niti has resolved more than 1500 felony and misdemeanor cases in including 19 jury trials.

Using her vast experience as a Juvenile Dependency lawyer, Niti served as an adjunct professor of Juvenile Law at the University of LaVerne School of Law.  She taught a generation of new attorneys how to practice in the Juvenile Courts.

Niti’s areas of practice includes Law and Motion, Writs and Appeals for Juvenile Dependency, Criminal, and Family Law-related matters and Juvenile Dependency matters.

I am excited to work as of counsel for Moore Law for Children and bring my extensive experience in the areas of dependency law, criminal law and family law to assist children facing discipline in school and special education issues and to continue to represent families embroiled in dependency actions.
